Japan Candy Box | Subscription Box Review & Giveaway

Japanese Candy Box

August 2015

c/o JapanCandyBox

Japan Candy Box is a subscription box filled with ten assorted Japanese candies, sweets and snacks every month.  The cost per box is 19.9$ with free international shipping.

Kracie Tsunagete DIY Chain Candy Kit
It says DIY, but there's nothing really DIY about it. There are 'A' and 'C' shaped chewy mint and grape flavored candies that you connect to make a chain. I loved the rich flavor and the texture. One of my favorites in this month's box!

Tohato Anpanman Caramel Corn
These tasted like corn puffs (Kurkure corn puffs, if you live in India), coated with caramel. Well that's what they are. Yummy, but a little too sweet for me.

Kracie Neru Neru Nerune DIY Bubble Jelly Candy
This was so much fun to mix together and eat/drink. Especially when the concoction started to foam! Not a fan of the taste though. It was okay.

A sour gummy tape (or paper, as it's called here). This wasn't as sour as those super sour gummies. More like 'Sour Punk' candy that's commonly available here. Again grape flavored and tasty.

Bourbon Petit Chocolate Filled Cookies
Best cookies ever! Chocolate filled too! I actually rationed these, counting out the cookies and allowing myself to eat like two per day. Still, I ended up finishing all these in two days. So much for rationing. They literally melt once you put them in your mouth and the texture and flavors are so good, they're downright addictive.

Moominvalley Biscuits
Fun animal/cartoon figure shaped biscuits. I got the chocolate flavored ones (thank God!). These were very light, crispy and not too sweet either. So perfect for me.

Rilakkuma Biscuit Sticks
Very addictive, delicious cookie sticks. I didn't realize just when I munched the packet empty, once I tore it open.

Meiji Yan Yan Biscuit Stick
Another pack of tasty cookie sticks with chocolate dip. I absolutely love Japanese chocolate - bars, bites, cream, dips - all of it.

These gummies were so sour, I've never ever tasted anything like it! At one point it felt like my tongue was going to explode. I shared these with a friend, who liked these so much, he took the whole packet. Good for me!

Puccho Watermelon Chewy Candy
This is my all time favorite chewy candy. The smooth, rich taste and the little watermelon flavored gummies inside were just heaven. When I go to Japan, I'm hauling back crate loads of this stuff, I swear!

I guess it's good I don't live in Japan. I would be eating all those candies and chocolates all the time. Phew!
