Summary

If you're hoping for a 'Get Rich' book, this book is for you.

That said, the definition of 'Rich' is about life rather than money.  There's nothing wrong with money.  While it puts food on the table, does it automatically bring joy?  If your life feels like somewhat of a 'rat race' filled with anxiety, or if you're simply wondering "Is this all there is to life?", this book will give you reason for hope. It's important to realize that where you are today is not your destination. Rather it's just one point in your journey.

This book was written based on the author's personal journey of growing and learning through adversity. That journey revealed 10 steps to Finding Purpose And Joy. While we all have different temperaments, perspectives, and beliefs, nearly all human beings have common elements that are fundamentally the same when it comes to body, mind, and spirit. Today is the first day of your life.  The book is spiritual in nature and practical at the same time by incorporating some of Stephen Covey's "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" in everyday application.  It also includes some terrific insights from Gary Smalley's book "The DNA of Relationships.  There truly is reason for hope and a fresh new beginning by revitalizing your journey. The choice is yours!

The verdict

I rarely read non-fiction motivational titles. Generally they all tend to sound the same, and eventually end up annoying me instead of providing any motivation at all. Finding Purpose proved to be a pleasant surprise.

I keep telling this shamelessly to any living thing who'd listen, I am a sucker for well designed covers. This book, however, has a very lazy and poor excuse for a cover, which almost made me give up on the book itself.

I'm glad I didn't. Finding Purpose was a very short, quick read. Full of motivational, positive messages and encouragement, it made me feel happier and slightly more content with the way I'm living my life right now. Seriously.

I'm not a fan of religious stuff thrown into books, so I didn't enjoy the bible reading recommendations much. But otherwise it was a nice, enjoyable read.

Happy reading!
